Sales and Marketing Executive Placement
Business Development
Over the year with portfolio institutional the successful candidate will work closely with the Head of Sales on business development. The applying student should be studying a degree relevant to business or possess some sales experience. The student should be on target for at least a 2:1 in their honours degree. We understand that candidates on a placement year are unlikely to have huge amounts experience in these areas and we offer on the job training and support with the goal that by the end of the placement the intern will be able to:
New Business Development
- Build an understanding of the marketing solutions we and our rivals offer to asset managers. Learning the benefits of the marketing solutions available to the asset management industry.
- Researching the market to discover potential new asset management clients for portfolio institutional.
- Contacting decision makers to arrange meetings with yourself and the Head of Sales. Facilitate a two-way discussion at these meetings to find out the marketing aims of the asset managers, whilst explaining the portfolio institutional marketing solutions.
- Propose these marketing solutions to asset managers. Based on their goals, our understanding of them, how we can help and how we can demonstrate results for their marketing spend.
- Once the proposal is with the client you will engage with them to, gather feedback, negotiate prices, build packages and send any contracts to confirm the package.
Client development and delivery
- Working closely with the client, once the package is confirmed, on their campaign to ensure successful delivery across digital, print and events.
- Taking the clients campaign from idea stage to appearing in print, online and at events.
- Utilizing social media to gain additional reach for the campaign.
- Building and sending reports using data that demonstrate return on investment for the client.
- Arranging follow up meetings with the asset managers, post campaign, to discuss results and agree next steps.
