eDiscovery & Digital Forensics Analyst Placement

We are looking for a talented computing (science, forensics, or anything else computing) undergraduate to join an innovative eDiscovery and Digital Forensics practice at Anexsys for a 12-month placement in London.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a genuine passion (and maybe even obsession!) with technology, whether it’s taking apart, and putting together computers and networks, administering websites and servers, or programming for the desktop or the web. From day 1, we’ll encourage you to make a major contribution to the team - getting stuck in, as well as coming up with ideas on how we can do things better, smarter and faster.

What we offer you in return is a dynamic role in a niche technology industry where on one day, you could be helping to process large volumes of data and administering a legal review of millions of electronic documents and the next day, you could be assisting in an investigation where the evidence is to be found in computers and mobile phones. Allowing you the opportunity to gain exposure to leading forensic and eDiscovery tools such as EnCase, Nuix and Relativity.

All of this, whilst juggling a development project working with the APIs and databases of the leading software in our industry. You will gain first-hand experience in the development of innovative tools, working closely with the head of software, shaping the work in eDiscovery and Digital Forensics.

Once again, a passion for technology is essential and you will also have the opportunity to be actively involved in future movements within the company, such as:

  • Unstructured text analytics and machine learning
  • Cloud and distributed computing
  • Modern web application development using node.js
  • Scalable infrastructure developments

What we are looking for

  • You'll need to be on course for a 2.1 degree or above in a Technology related discipline e.g. Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Forensics or Artificial Intelligence
  • You'll need to be on degree programme that features a sandwich placement year
  • Previous experience - whether industrial or just tinkering with Computers isn’t required - but of course is a bonus.
  • In terms of programming, knowledge of SQL is essential, as well as preferably confidence with .NET or Ruby.
  • You’ll be working in a close-knit team so we’re particularly interested in hearing about major projects e.g. group projects.
  • As our clients are some of the brightest people around (lawyers), you need to be able to communicate confidently in both the written and verbal forms.
