Compliance Engineering Placement

The role involves all aspects of compliance from planning and specifying the RAMS / Validation requirements, witnessing key tests, system safety analysis, reliability assessments, preparing evidence for the safety case and the generation of Compliance Matrices. The aim is to verify that compliance and fitness or purpose is assured and remains safe for use in service.

The role spans the full product and vehicle level lifecycle with exciting opportunities to take a leading role in tasks, working closely with customers, independent assessment and certification /regulatory bodies as well as third parties where applicable.

12-month Placement split into 6 Months in RAMS, 6 Months in Validation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in generating and managing Safety Case submissions throughout the system life cycle.
  • Assist in performing Safety analysis including Hazard Identification / analysis, Fault Trees Analysis (FTA) and Failure Modes & Effects Analysis (FMEA).
  • Assisting planning activities, conducting and participating in project audits / reviews.
  • Reliability, availability and maintainability analysis.
  • Assist in definition of verification plans that encompass system procedures, including application type testing.
  • Assist in producing comprehensive Verification and Validation reports that encompass Safety Case approval.
  • Support Testing activities.

RAMS

  • EP2002 Classic
    • Support to Safety Case Submission in co-ordinating safety and cross functional deliverables.
    • Authoring Project Technical Safety Reports
  • EP2002 3.0
    • Support RAMS analysis tasks for EP2002 3.0 Product Development
  • General
    • Support to NIR / Failure Investigations
    • Management of Standards
    • As required safety and reliability analysis / assessments.
    • Process improvements.

Validation

  • EP2002 Classic
    • Support to validation activities and co-ordinating cross functional validation activities.
    • Authoring of Development and Validation Reports
  • EP2002 3.0
    • Authoring Development and Validation Plan for EP2002 3.0 Product Development
    • Development on Compliance Matrices and planning test activities
  • General
    • As required Validation analysis / assessments.
    • Process improvements
    • Support to Test Facilities Management
