Overall Mission

Managing 3M's global strategic brand is a key piece within the marketing function. Identifying customer needs, developing new products, setting pricing strategies and working with channel partners to ensure profitable growth are all things that sit within the marketing function at 3M.

Job Responsibilities

Depending on which business you are working in, you may be involved in:

  • Category Management
  • Brand Management
  • CRM
  • Results reporting
  • Input to Sales & Operating forecasting
  • New product introductions
  • Business analysis
  • Liaison where appropriate with Corporate / Legal teams
  • Market Research and planning
  • Online Marketing
  • Website Development
  • Managing and optimising e-plans
  • Social Media
  • Channel marketing
  • Product management and marketing

Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Good organisation skills - ability to take ownership of projects and drive results
  • Good problem solving skills
  • IT literate (proficient in Microsoft Office applications)

Training and Development

Each successful candidate will join one of our businesses and initially undergo a period of intense training in their role They will deal with real business clients from day one as this is the best way to quickly build a robust knowledge base. We operate in a highly collaborative environment so placement students can rely on plenty of support from colleagues to help them get started and this will continue throughout their time at 3M.

Requirements

  • Right to live and work in the UK
  • Predicted a minimum 2:1 degree in a Business-related degree
  • 120 UCAS points at A-Level or equivalent qualification
  • Valid UK driving licence preferred, but not essential
