There are few careers as challenging and financial rewarding as that of a recruitment consultant. The role of a recruitment consultant is fast-paced, demanding and very competitive. However, the main aspect of your job is to attract and fill new business through a mix of sales and account management.

The Job

A Recruitment Consultant at Provision is responsible for winning new business from existing and new clients. In practice, that means picking up the phone and talking to our clients (Further Education Colleges) and finding out what vacancies they have, you then need to convince them that you are the person to find the best candidates for those posts.

Once you have the colleges ear you are then responsible for filling those vacancies by finding the right candidates for the roles. You do this be searching our large database (c13000 candidates) or attracting new candidates to us by writing and placing adverts on-line, this gives you a list of potential people for each role. You then need to pick up the phone and speak to them all and establish who is interested in the post and then, who the best candidates for the post are. Once you have determined that you speak to the college and send them your chosen candidates, following on from that you arrange interviews and hopefully negotiate a salary package for the selected candidate. That's the job in shortened form, there is more to it then space here allows and we are also able to flex it to some degree depending on individual's skills.

The Person

To be successful with us you will need plenty of ambition and drive as well as the desire and ability to earn more than your peers. We will give you the training and tools to be successful; you will need to show us that you are really hungry for success. We are looking for people with a sense of humour (big one), people who thrive in less structured environments (if you are looking for a PLC type graduate training scheme please don't apply) and people who have the self confidence that allows them to talk with ease to our clients/candidates. Renumeration wise our basic salary is only the start, if you are the right person, you will back yourself to earn a lot more via our bonus scheme. Oh and at the end of the year we take the whole company to Ireland to say thanks for your efforts.

About Provision Recruitment

We are a small but vibrant recruitment company who are looking at recruiting placement students to work for us as recruitment consultants, we currently have 5 placement students working in this way. We are based in West Bridgford overlooking Trent Bridge Cricket Ground and therefore have excellent commuting links with the City Centre and wider area. Our approach is very different from our competition, we don't clock watch, the wearing of suits is not encouraged and if you can't laugh at yourself then don't apply.
