Marketing Assistant Placement

As a placement student within the marketing team you will be expected to provide support to all areas of the department. This includes, but is not limited to, the development of copy for venues and golf courses, the production of key marketing reports, brand building, reporting and also general communication both internally and externally. You will also be expected to play an integral role in the company’s search engine optimisation (SEO) project and ensure all website copy meets SEO standards across the company’s multiple business units.

You will be expected to think on your feet and give thought to long term planning. Good organisational skills, time management and the ability to multi-task are crucial. A creative streak is also essential to continue to provide new ideas and activity for future marketing campaigns.

This role will involve close contact with colleagues, suppliers / 3rd parties and on occasions directly with customers and, as such, you must emulate the values of the company. The role will also require you to undertake certain administrative duties to ensure that the department runs smoothly and efficiently.

An interest in golf is desired but not a pre-requisite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the SEO strategy, including:
  • Researching keywords based on user demand
  • Researching latest trends and techniques
  • Performance reporting
  • Optimising content throughout the website to ensure it is SEO compliant
  • Create content to support campaign and partnerships
  • Liaise with the product team and update offers throughout the site to ensure the very best
  • ices are visible to customers
  • Assist with all IT releases and with website testing to ensure that new website functionality is correct
