Customer Support and Programmes Placement

For the right candidate, you will gain exposure to Airlines, Aircraft Operators and Aerospace Support businesses. You will learn how they keep their aircraft flying and how issues throughout the whole supply chain can affect them. In addition, you will work with major Engine Manufacturers such as Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney in order to support their requirements and end customers and you will be involved in planning and implementing new capabilities within the global repair network. It will give you an insight into the aerospace industry as a whole and it is a great place to start you career!

We are looking to offer an undergraduate the opportunity to join us for 12-months, to provide support in the Customer Support and Programme Management function.

You role will be highly varied and every day will be different. You will receive full support from a very experienced team of people and, amongst other things, be responsible for:

Main Duties – Project Management

  • Reviewing the use / visibility of the risk management process within the Project Management Processes associated with New Product Introduction and Modification / Retrofit planning.
  • Utilising Continuous Improvement (CI) based tools, create and track plans to improve the maturity of key processes within the CS&P function to ensure we do things in the most efficient and effective way possible.
  • Develop / improve the visual communications area to show key performance indicators across the various activities we do.

Day to day duties – Customer Support

  • Customer interface - fulfilment of contractual commitments including the management of repair orders and shipment of rotable exchange units where required.
  • Compilation of consolidated weekly status reports for customer orders across multiple repair stations.
  • Approval of cost quotations and cost invoices per designated authority limits.
  • Support of New Contract Launch activities, including setup of new contract profiles and administrative support of internal and external contract launch progress reviews.
  • Support of quarterly contract reconciliation activity - volume/value rebate calculations, % FNF charges etc.

Depending on how the role develops, there may also be the requirement for travel to our network of repair sites and / or to key customer locations around the world.

The successful candidate will need to have good customer facing and project management skills as this role will involve significant customer contact.

The position has a competitive salary along with 25 days paid annual holiday.

IMPORTANT: Candidates must be able to commit to the full 12 month placement (apart from the above holidays).
