Quality Control Placement

Broad Purpose of Job

  • To provide practical, analytical support within the Quality Control Team, which involves testing finished products manufactured at Cambridge and our associate companies and contract manufacturers from around the world, for the shelf life monitoring program.
  • To assist in maintaining the Production cleaning validation program by carrying out swab analysis.

Specific Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leadership Attributes and Core values.
  • Must be able to demonstrate and perform in accordance with the leadership attributes and core values of the Company.
  • Ensure that all activities are undertaken in compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOP’s), Good Laboratory and Manufacturing Practice (GxP) and Health and Safety in the workplace regulations.
  • To carry out the analysis and testing of the Company’s pharmaceutical finished products using a variety of analytical techniques – mainly HPLC, UV Dissolution and Karl Fischer. Others including disintegration, hardness and TLC.
  • Maintain accurate, clear and concise written records of all work undertaken, following the analytical methods and making sure all the correct documentation is present within the analytical write up. Identifying OOS results and assisting in investigations. Then transcribing all data onto the electronic data system.
  • Maintain up-to-date Training Records, using the Isotrain package to record this.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Departmental management.
  • Work on own or as part of a team, the ultimate goal being to get the work reported in a timely manner.
  • Take part in the departmental monthly meetings, contributing and adding value, helping with motivation and morale for the whole team.
  • Help out with the routine jobs, such as waste disposal, to maintain the smooth running of lab.
  • Being able to use packages such as Word and Excel.
  • Good interpersonal skills and being able to communicate well with others.
