Operations Support Placement

This role will be supporting the Operations Manager of the Airbus Endeavr Wales Organisation –

Airbus Endeavr Wales is focussed on developing early stage research to the point where commercial value can be realised. The initiative is funded by Airbus Defence and Space R&T, Airbus DTO and the Welsh Government. It works closely with SMEs and Universities in addition to Airbus technology departments. The successful applicant will primarily support the day to day operational running of Airbus Endeavr Wales as well as screening pitches from SME’s and Airbus organisations

Tasks

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

  • To manage and deliver in accordance with the Governance model:
  • Planning and support to meetings required in year.
  • Preparation and support to Board Meetings including progress against KPIs (4 per year).
  • Preparation of Executive Committee meetings (6 per year) including project reviews and progress against KPIs.
  • Regular engagement with the project teams, to guide them through the funding application process and to monitor progress against KPIs.
  • Ensuring the project wave milestone reviews are planned and maintained and project reporting is conducted on the agreed timeframes.
  • To support the Operations Manager in the day to day financial, commercial and legal management aspects of the operation.
  • To support marketing and communication activities, such as promotion & representation of Endeavr at internal and external stakeholder events, academia and SME engagement and relationship management. Some aspects require an amount of travel.

Our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will be able to demonstrate the following;

  • Project and financial management, controlling and reporting
  • Good communications skills with the ability to exchange with numerous Stakeholders including Welsh Government, Senior Airbus Reps, SMEs, Univeristy reps etc. Must be agile in approach to working
  • Experience of creating and maintaining dashboards.
  • Presentation skills
