Corporate Citizenship Placement - Reading

Introduction to Corporate Citizenship team:

Good corporate social responsibility means applying the same level of commitment, rigor, and sincerity to changing lives as we do to building cutting-edge technology for our customers. At Oracle UK our small Corporate Citizenship team is dedicated to encouraging employees to participate in volunteering and charitable activities.

As a member of this team, you will…

Responsibilities:

  • Promote employee engagement and awareness of Corporate Citizenship at Oracle with passion and enthusiasm
  • Become an advocate for corporate citizenship in Oracle UK
  • Help grow the Corporate Citizenship Community of volunteers
  • Co-ordinate strategic planning meetings (agenda’s, logistics, attendees, minutes, actions)
  • Monitor employee participation for senior management and key stakeholders
  • Coordinate and manage the partner charity selection process
  • Assist partner charity liaisons / executive sponsors
  • Provide event management advice, ensure compliance with the global programme and local policies
  • Produce quarterly newsletters and maintain UK Corporate Citizenship webpage
  • Promote partner charity and individual events through internal communications

  • Undergraduate students completing a one year university placement program
  • Energetic, articulate and motivated students on course for a 2:1 degree or higher with the right attitude and aptitude to succeed in a fast-paced business
  • High level of energy, drive, enthusiasm, commitment, self-belief and achievement-orientation
  • A real team player
  • Good time management skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical skills, able to analyze data/situations and draw logical evidence-based conclusions
  • The ability to self-manage, with strong organisational and planning skills
  • Self-motivated to continuously expand personal and professional knowledge
  • Not afraid to fail, not afraid to learn
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office products (Excel, PowerPoint and Word)
