Introduction to the Cloud Service Centre team:

Working as part of a global team in the Oracle Cloud Service Centre (OCSC), you will be part of the follow-the sun 24/7/365 DevOps team – with the mission to maintain and enhance the reliability, performance and operability of the Cloud environment. Oracle Cloud is a major priority for the company, resulting in rapid growth to computing environments and organization. Best of breed technologies are continually reviewed and supported for the delivery of a positive customer experience.

Using industry leading technology, as a member of the Site Reliability Development (SRD), you will be working daily with highly-acclaimed Software as a Service (SaaS) and Platform as a Service (PaaS) service offering offerings. Responsibilities:

  • Administer production servers/services and test system health
  • Fulfill tickets from internal and external customers related to the management of the Oracle Cloud Platform
  • Develop scripts to enhance cloud reliability and/or automation
  • Participate in an agile development scrum to fulfil user stories
  • Define your own sprint goals and collaborate on the outcomes of Oracle Cloud Service Centre initiatives and quarterly objectives
  • Offer mitigation paths to accelerate the process of system recovery
  • Respond to monitoring alerts to quickly identify trouble source and execute defined SOPs to avoid or reduce event impact duration
  • Coordinate with other scrum teams to fulfil the development objectives set out for the Oracle Cloud Service Centre.

What we look for:

  • Studying for a University degree in Computer Science, Management, IT, or Technical based disciplines
  • Articulate – strong presentation skills
  • You will be Tech savvy and have a passion for technology; particularly development
  • Interest in hardware, servers, disks, data centers
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and manage tasks and follow-up actions
  • High energy, confident, outgoing and proactive
  • Creative
