IT Business Analyst Placement
Our IT team operates as a business partner proposing ideas and innovative solutions that enable new organizational capabilities. We collaborate internationally to deliver the services and solutions that help everyone to be more productive and enable innovation.
Working in a professional and friendly environment, will provide you the opportunity to gain practical experience in an IT Business Analyst role and will help build a strong foundation for success in your future. Throughout your twelve-month placement, you will be provided with the opportunity to support, develop and improve our Infrastructure systems and processes and will have the opportunities to travel to other sites.
The position available is within the IT business unit at Our Company. The position is based in Cramlington, Northumberland at our manufacturing site, which is focused on the production of Human Health products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Implementation of new IT systems to support business requirements.
- Development of new business systems to meet business requirements, project timescales and users’ expectations.
- Provide technical expertise to implement and integrate new and existing systems and technologies.
- Opportunity to manage and deliver your own projects with support from your mentor.
2. Maintenance and development of existing IT systems
- Participate in change management processes working with key stakeholders to deliver continuous improvement.
- Development and delivery of training packages to business users
- Opportunity to work in an Agile environment to deliver business demands and drive business value.
3. Maintain compliance to Corporate and Regulatory guidelines for IT systems
- Ensuring all necessary training is completed and documented successfully.
- Application of the specific System Development Life Cycle to systems.
- Production of supporting documentation for the implementation of new systems.
- Adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) in everything you do.
Work Experience
Potential Candidates will be working towards a minimum of a 2:1 in a relevant IT discipline. Candidates must be entering a third or penultimate year of study, returning to a degree course at the end of the placement.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, able to build relationships and trust at all levels and with diverse stakeholders.
- Excellent problem solving and innovating skills.
- Team player, learning from and helping others overcome obstacles.
- Display excellent attention to detail and the ability to deliver to deadlines.
- Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and desire to continuously improve.
- A self-starter who can be relied upon to work with minimal supervision.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office 2016 (e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Our Support Functions deliver services and makes recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the experience of working at our organization. Our Support Functions include HR, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement, Administration, Facilities and Security.
Successful applicants will have the opportunity to meet fellow students before commencing the placement and will partake in a two week handover period at the beginning of their placement with the current student.
