Service Development (Intern)

By joining Airbus as a Service Development Intern you will work with colleagues from other functions across Airbus Secure Communications, part of the Airbus Defence and Space family, including Finance, Commercial and Sales with the objective of supporting the department to fulfil its management reporting and data analysis obligations. You will have the opportunity to scope the requirement so that you can implement your academic learnings into a commercial context.

Tasks:

During this internship, the activities you may undertake will include;

  • Work with the necessary colleagues to promote the early identification of business opportunities within our opportunity management tools
  • Produce, communicate and deliver plans for the implementation of management reporting requirements
  • Coordinate inputs from within the Service Development department and from other departments as required
  • Organise department meetings and workshops
  • Ensure that all tasks that require action by a member of the team are completed within the required timeframes
  • Identify and implement continuous improvements to the way the department operates.

Please note our Internships are open to Undergraduates only. Therefore it is mandatory for candidates to be an undergraduate for the whole duration of the placement.

Successful candidates will either have or be working towards a degree in a business-related subject including accounting and finance, economics, law, management and operational research, or a degree in communications engineering with an interest in business. Regardless of your background you will be trained so you are ready to deliver in the role.

You will be able to demonstrate the following skills and abilities:

  • Analytical: the ability to interpret and understand numerical data
  • Communication: the ability to communicate with all types of internal stakeholders using a range of mediums, including verbal, electronic, presentations
  • Creative: the ability to present findings in a compelling and persuasive manner
  • Organised: the ability to plan and execute a project to deliver the required output
  • IT literate: the ability to operate Microsoft Office, especially in Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
