Porsche Retail Group Finance Business Analysis Intern

This is a Placement Year position for a candidate currently studying a Business, Finance or Accounting related Undergraduate degree at University, seeking a placement for their 3rd year. The role will commence in July 2020. Please ensure that you have read and understood the requirements of the role before applying.

Job Purpose

To be responsible for daily management and KPI reporting for decision making and enabling performance improvement in all Porsche Retail Group operations. To assist Financial Planning Manager in daily and month-end tasks as required.

Core Specific Responsibilities:

Preparation of daily management reports:

  • Group Pre-Owned car sales report.
  • Group Pre-Owned stock Reporting.
  • Daily tracking of all used cars status (in Central Operation’s system).
  • Daily tracking of PRG’s group buyer purchases.
  • Daily Sold hours report and preparation of central operations report.
  • Weekly new vehicle sales forecast (completion & distribution).

Preparation of weekly reports:

  • Self-Registration fleet report and identifying variances from operating guidelines.
  • Weekly enquiries report by site (C@P)
  • Weekly comparative report of new cars forecast vs. Central Ops PDI System.
  • Analysis of Centre performance data and compilation of PRG Pulse including distribution to wider Company

Preparation of Month End Reports:

  • Month-end stock analysis
  • Month-end warranty analysis, job cards and finance cases.
  • Month-end reconciliation of profit prints (New and Used cars).
  • Month-end reporting of ECOS car fleet and VW lease fleet.
  • Preparation of new car stock slides for MPR templates to support Centre Financial Controllers
  • Supporting Group Financial Reporting Accountant in maintenance and preparation of fixed assets register and detail in respect of additions & disposal report.
  • Supporting Financial Planning Manager with budgets, forecasts and rolling forecasts and reporting them in different systems.
  • Collate and distribute the Service Technician efficiency league.
  • Analysis of warranty and retail labour hours to be prepared and distributed to Aftersales Managers.
  • ASE Financial Analysis and data inputting including Headcount, Stock obsolescence and OPG appointment
  • IRIS Financial data summary reporting to be submitted to PAG.
  • Financial data summary for slides to be included in monthly Financial Focus communication
  • Presentation preparation for the ECM (Executive Committee).
  • Ad hoc projects supporting Head Office and Centre Financial Controllers.
  • Supporting Aftersales Managers with ad hoc administration.

  • To understand and assist in the delivery of Business Strategy and Objectives
  • Deliver an agreed level of service to Internal and External Customers, in line with the company values.
  • Contribute fully within the team, ensuring the right environment is maintained
  • Ensure the appropriate level of management control and system exploitation is applied to all relevant systems
  • Contribute to the documentation and improvement of processes in the finance department
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures at all times
