This opportunity is open to students entering their second year of university in September 2019.

New Business Sales Placement

This role will include direct communication with potential clients and the management of the complete sales cycle, including onsite visits when required. You will be given a high level of responsibility for one of the most important functions in our business; making sales. You must be prepared to be thrown in at the deep end, be able to forge relationships with prospective customers and team members, as well as being able to manage your own time effectively.

In the New Business Sales team, you’ll get hands-on experience in a busy customer facing role. Whether it be running a live demonstration to a prospect, heading out of the office to visit them for on-site, or welcoming them to the ProspectSoft offices, you’ll be thrown in at the deep end and expected to hit the ground running after the training month. These opportunities will help you finesse your communication skills, and by establishing practical experience, you’ll gain confidence and develop long-term, transferable skills to succeed in your role and your future career.

Some of the things you’ll be doing:

  • Building Customer Rapport – Each element of the role is strongly focused on communication with prospects. You’ll be responsible for managing prospective clients through the entire Free Trial process. Having the ability to build relationships and rapport with clients quickly is a vital skill you will adopt in this exciting role.
  • Customer Service – At ProspectSoft, we pride ourselves on exceptional customer service, and every member of staff needs to contribute to this. This will involve providing timely answers, assistance and escalation in a professional and friendly manner that reflects the company's core values.
  • Sales Management/Lead Generation – This will involve scoping and documenting requirements, managing the entire sales cycle, and supporting other sales staff on larger sales where required. You will be expected to engage with prospects through different mediums, including phone and email. In addition, you’ll be responsible for driving the number of opportunities, including Free Trials and Onboarding Experiences.
  • Presentations/Demonstrations – A key part of your role will be demonstrating our software to prospective clients. To be able to deliver high quality, relevant demonstrations, you’ll need to be able to translate customer requirements into efficient and desirable solutions and present these in an appealing, persuasive manner.
  • Organisation – It’s imperative that you have excellent organisation skills to ensure you successfully manage and meet desired timescales for prospective clients and internal deadlines. This will require you to liaise and co-ordinate with team members across the business, and most importantly with the client.

  • Completed a minimum of 2 years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement
