What you’ll do
As an intern, your work affects the real world. Why shouldn’t it? We’ll take your ideas seriously and you’ll get to network with other people as you do hands-on work. At the end of your placement, you could even have a chance to fast track onto the graduate programme with so many opportunities to learn and progress.
Join us for 10 weeks during your penultimate year at university, and you’ll get a taste of what a full-time role would be like. You’ll have structured performance evaluations, real training, development, and social and volunteering opportunities just as our permanent people do. So there’s no need to doubt you have the right skills.
Internships are offered in Compliance, Corporate Audit, Corporate Treasury, Wholesale Credit, Global Corporate & Investment Banking, Global Markets, Global Research, Global Transaction Services, Market Risk, Quantitative Management or Technology.
In some locations, we offer fixed-term placements such as off-cycle internships or industrial placements at other times throughout the year. Ask us about them if you’re interested.
How to apply and what to expect
For an internship position, the application process involves uploading your CV and completing an online video interview. If selected following the application stage, you will be invited to an assessment centre involving competency-based exercises. In addition, for most of our full-time programs, we conduct telephone interviews.
