Technology Consulting Industrial Placement

Develop your business knowledge and combine it with your passion for technology to help us solve complex problems for some of the world’s biggest businesses. You’ll get a head start on your graduate career while you’re at it.

What is Technology Consulting at EY?

Technology Consulting is all about being tech-savvy and great with people. Our job is to understand what technological challenges our clients are facing and then find the best solutions to help them improve how they work.

What will you be doing?

You can join our teams in Financial Services or UK & Ireland and from day one, you’ll be working on real client projects. Every project will be different so you’ll gain a huge breadth of experience that includes:

  • Learning how to apply your tech and business knowledge in a UK & Ireland or Financial Services team
  • Researching how data analytics, robotics, automation and more are affecting different industries
  • Developing key skills that can be used across a range of projects

Throughout the placement you can take professional training courses to develop your technical and personal skills, and you’ll have opportunities to learn from EY’s in-house experts.

If everything works out well, you could even secure a job here after you graduate.

Qualifications you will gain

Professional training in essential business skills on Financial Services placements, and partial completion of a professional accountancy qualification.

Entry requirements

If you’re studying for an honours degree (in any subject) that includes a one-year placement and you’re in your penultimate year of university, this placement is for you. You’ll also need to have obtained a minimum of Level 2 GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths as well as three A-levels, 5 Highers or equivalent.
