Communications and Government Affairs Industrial Placements - 2020 Intake
The Communications team gives GSK a voice. We engage, inspire and inform our employees. Externally, we look after our global brand image and reputation. How do we do this? By coming up with and delivering clear and consistent messages to patients, consumers and doctors, shareholders, investors, partners, the media and the public. Our placements offer you the opportunity to work with our various teams to support the communications requirements of the business both internally and externally. We also offer placements in the Government Affairs and Policy team who support all parts of GSK by delivering high quality government affairs and creating impactful public policies. We identify political and environmental trends and develop strategies to maximise advantage for the business. Whatever your role, you’ll have the opportunity to work with and learn from colleagues across the business and all over the world!
A Communications and Government Affairs placement is a great chance to apply the skills you have learned at university and learn new ones. The work will bring you into contact with people across the business, external organisations and the media, so you’ll be constantly developing your interpersonal skills. You’ll also build your organisational and problem-solving abilities while also building a network of contacts across the business.
Degree Requirements: You will have completed a minimum of two years of your undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement.
