IT Placement Programme

During this 12 month programme you’ll develop your technical expertise across a range of IT projects, liaising with business users and stakeholders to understand business IT requirements across Dyson’s global markets.

Accountabilities

As part of the programme you will have the opportunity to rotate around a number of roles within some or all of the following functions as part of Dyson’s Global IT team, depending on your experiences and interests;

Business Analyst

• Identifying business change elements and delivering designs that meet business requirements

Project Coordinator

• Accountable for supporting all aspects of small and medium projects (both business and technical) required to deliver the business outcome.

Network Engineer

• Support the rollout of network infrastructures to support the Dyson communications’ products and services

Security Analyst

• Help project teams comply with enterprise and IT Security policies, industry regulations, computer forensic investigations and best practices

Whichever part of our Global IT team you’re in, the projects you’ll work on will be varied and challenging, with clear objectives for delivery in a given time period. Over this 12 month placement you’ll gain an in-depth understanding of Dyson’s supporting technology. If you’re successful in the placement programme we could also offer you the opportunity to return to us as a graduate at the end of your studies.

Skills required

We’ll expect a lot from you. And no day will be the same as the last. You’ll need to be on track for, a 2:1 or above in a relevant IT or analytical degree discipline and due to graduate in 2021. Knowledge of IT infrastructure and service management tools as well as project management methodologies either from your course or work experience is advantageous.
