Business Analyst: Prospect & Customer Placement

Customers and prospects are essential to Atlas Copco Compressors success so ensuring we provide the best journey for them, understanding their needs and requirements and ensuring the information we have for them is correct is vital. This, along with assisting our sales team in growing our prospect pool and customer base and our e-commerce sales channel will be the main focus for this new and exciting role.

Here’s a snapshot of what the job involves….

  • CRM System and Customer projects. Supporting the CRM team with the upkeep of the system, ensuring that our customer/prospect data is as accurate as possible. Other projects that will stem from this is working with our sales team to ensure all customers have a visit at least once in a 12 month period and assisting with management and administration of campaigns.
  • E-Commerce. Assisting with the management of the e-commerce store and the orders from the store, which will involve communications with a number of teams, our distribution network and most importantly the customer prior and after placing the order.
  • Online Chat. Our newest tool at our disposal is our online chat system. This chat can be accessed by customers when visiting any of our pages on our website or the e-commerce store. The role will involve taking control of some of these chats, speaking with the customer and ensuring a positive outcome for the customer and their enquiry.
  • Prospect Research and Lead Generation. Lead generation is a key responsibility that sits with in this team and particularly with this role. Through the combination of third party data sources, working closely with our external sales teams and online research this role instigates a large proportion of the company’s lead generation activity.
  • Customer Enquiry Support. Speaking with our customers via the customer enquiries phone line and the customer enquiries inbox, finding out the customers’ needs and assisting the customer on their journey with us.
  • Literature Management. Keeping our ‘library’ of hard copied brochures up to date and stocked as well as processing all requests from our sales team and distribution network for any brochure stock they require.

The person we are looking for should ….

  • A student in their penultimate year of university Idealy undertaking an undergraduate degree involving one of the following areas: Business, Marketing or Mathematics, though other degrees will be considered.
  • Have good to high level communication skills through various methods including verbally and written
  • Be competent at working with a number of computing systems such as the Microsoft Office platform (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Any other system history is desirable but not essential.
  • Able to understand and work with a large number of different processes.
  • Be analytical in their work which will enable success in this role.
  • Ideally have some form of Customer service experience for example dealing with customer
  • Be able to work well and effectively in a team as this role will involve working alongside colleagues in the wider team as well our external sales team.
  • Be confident with talking to a variety of stakeholders (internal and external).
  • Have basic knowledge of GDPR and what it involves.
