Trainee BI Developer Placement

The Role
This year another opportunity exists for an enthusiastic individual studying a Software Engineering related course to join the Business Information Team within the IT Department. This role is based in Watford, Hertfordshire.
The major areas of development will be:
- Exposure to complex systems architecture, comprising a diverse set of applications and processes
- Systems Administration experience, focusing on upgrades / patching, performance tuning and maintenance best practice
- Producing documentation, test scripts and specifications as required
- Contribution to software and system design
Key skills required:
- Understanding and appreciation of systems architecture
- An understanding of SQL, PowerShell, JavaScript, REST/SOAP WebServices and Business Process capture would be an advantage
- You need to be self-motivated, organised and used to working in a structured and timely manner
- The ability to learn new skills quickly and adapt your current skills to differing scenarios
Location:
This role is based in Croxley Business Park, Watford, Hertfordshire, but will require travel to Northampton.
Duration:
Ideally, we would be looking for the successful candidate to start sometime in July or August 2019. The placement would be for 12 months.
