Finance Assistant Placement

The one-year finance assistant role is ideal if you are wishing to subsequently develop a career within a Finance or Business discipline as it encompasses a wide variety of different responsibilities across the EMEA Finance functions.

You will report into the Financial Reporting Manager (who oversees general prioritisation) within the EMEA Financial Reporting function, but is sub-contracted out such that there is wide exposure across the Finance function, including;

• Financial Reporting
• Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
• Commercial Finance
• Tax
• Treasury
• UK Finance

You will rotate between a selection of these sub-functions as determined by the priorities and peak demand of the functions, and your personal interest.

Typical responsibilities may include:

Financial Reporting

• Summarise quarterly reporting packages from country HQs for submission to Group
• Monthly rollforwards for Group cash flow
• Preparation of transfer pricing support files
• Assist with preparation of UK statutory accounts

FP&A

• Production of management accounts
• Consolidation of mid-monthly EMEA forecast
• Preparation and posting of country statistical journals
• Ad hoc analysis as required

You should ideally be working towards a Finance and/or Business related degree. You must also possess basic IT ability, including strong organisation, analytical and problem solving skills. Additionally, you will be a fast learner, highly motivated and a hard-working individual.
