IT Placement

We are looking to recruit a high potential IT undergraduate as an industrial placement based at our head office terminal in Westerleigh (near Bristol) commencing Quarter 2/early Quarter 3 2019.

The IT Undergraduate role although based at Westerleigh will involve travelling to all terminals, barges and offices in the UK depending on the task. The successful applicant will report directly to the UK IT/OT lead and have exposure to the following areas:

  • Support L1-L3
  • User experience & services co-ordination
  • Networking
  • Cyber security business governance
  • Project management
  • Application development
  • IT management for business
  • Operational & industrial systems (SCADA)

This placement allows for a strong understanding of all areas of IT involved in business strategy providing a solid start for a career in IT. The successful candidate for this placement must:

  • Have a passion for Information Technology

  • Have problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Be reliable and dependable
  • Be curious and inspired
  • Be well organised
  • Have a full UK driving licence

The recruitment process for all undergraduate industrial placements will involve attending an assessment centre and include delivering a presentation, group activities and individual interviews.

Successful candidates will receive an excellent salary (higher than industrial placement average) with the potential to also be financially supported in their final year via our company bursary scheme.
