Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineering Placement
The European Test Facility develops and tests additives for fuels and lubricants for the Automotive Industry. Vehicles and engines are tested, and transmissions and bespoke test rigs are run to determine the performance and durability of these additive packages.
We have opportunities for engineers in the following areas: Tribology Engineering, Automotive Test Engineering, Automotive Field Test Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Control and Instrumentation Engineering.
The Control and Instrumentation teams form part of the Test Support group within Lubrizol Mechanical Testing. Throughout the year you will be required to take concept ideas, perform research and design workable and cost-effective solutions which if approved would then be project managed, built, installed, tested and documented.
You will be involved with aiding the commissioning on new test programs and installations and you will gain experience in the design and maintenance of electrical and control systems. You will also be gaining experience of engineering programs and software e.g. Matlab, Labview and Dewesoft.
