Tech Summer Internship

It’s an exciting time to be part of our evolving Tech function. Under new leadership and through exciting new partnerships with cutting edge tech companies we are reinventing how we serve our patients, healthcare professionals and our consumers. As a Tech intern we expect you to bring some innovation and even some disruption to GSK ways of working.

What you'll learn

As a summer Tech intern, your time with us will be truly what you make it. You’ll find yourself in a real role, adding immediate value to our Tech function. You can expect to work collaboratively to implement our tech strategy and deliver on our ambition to empower our business through business-led, tech-driven opportunities. Beyond this, you will learn about the latest technologies, business processes and the strategies behind delivering key solutions in an agile environment.

We have opportunities for those of you wanting to get ‘hands-on-keyboard’ experience in a global business – for example, using your programming know how to help to roll out our RPA (robotic process automation) strategy or perhaps working in one of our UX labs. You could also find yourself aligned to a specific team, such as Cyber Security. During the internship you will be part of an international community of like-minded graduate tech talent, who alongside their day jobs help shape and run events for the community, such as; tech debates, podcasts, learn-a-thons, internal ted-talks and hackathons.

If you perform well in your internship, you could be fast-tracked onto our Tech Future Leaders graduate development programme following your final-year studies.

Eligibility Criteria

You should be in your penultimate year of degree study and on course for at least a 2:1 (or equivalent) in IT, computer science, or a technology-related degree. Although, if you’ve got a flair for technology, your degree could also be in maths, science, or engineering.
