Join The Challenge, the UK’s largest provider of NCS, this summer as a Pastoral Care Lead and oversee behaviour management and inclusion on our summer youth social action programme.
NCS (National Citizen Service) is a government-backed initiative with a mission to equip 15-17 year olds with the confidence, skills and support they need to make a real difference in their local communities.
The Pastoral Care Lead works throughout the two residential phases of the programme, providing floating support to Team Mentors, helping them to develop their behaviour management strategies, and working closely with select young people with identified behavioural and/or emotional needs.

This fully residential role is perfect for someone with significant experience of working with young people, knowledge of supporting people with additional needs, and experience of managing challenging behaviour.
NCS allows young people to take part in outdoor activities, skill development and community volunteering. Last summer over 44,000 young people participated in our action packed three to four-week programme. 2019 is our most ambitious programme to date, and its lasting impact relies on the 4,500 seasonal staff members who will inspire their journey.
