CERP Placement

As a placement student in CERP, you will assist with research projects, and undertake some of your own, under supervision. The placement is tailored to the strengths and interests of the particular student, but some of the activities you might expect to undertake include: collecting, manipulating and analysing quantitative and qualitative data; computer programming; and drafting reports. There will also be some administrative tasks including taking queries from customers and other stakeholders. The experience gained during a placement year at CERP will set you in good stead for a career in any field requiring numeracy, data handling and report writing.

The successful candidates will: be numerate, be studying for a degree with a strong mathematical or statistical component and/or a social science degree that includes research methods; possess good organisational skills; and be self-motivated. If you would like to find out more about the placement informally, please contact one of our current placement students, Thea Andrews (Tandrews@aqa.org.uk- Guildford) or Jack Lawlor (Jlawlor@aqa.org.uk - Manchester).

Please note that this is a 14-month placement opportunity for undergraduates who are on a university course containing a placement year in industry. You should be available to start in mid-June.
