Safety and Network Strategy Industrial Placement

As a placement student in our Safety and Network Strategy team you’ll see first-hand how passionate we are about transforming lives and shaping futures. We’ll ensure your 12 month placement powers up your enthusiasm for the future of gas and a career with Cadent.

Working in the Strategic Valves area of Safety and Network Strategy, you’ll get specialist training from our Asset Leads, Engineering and Operations team. You’ll also work with our GD2 team who support RIIO – Ofgem’s framework for setting price controls for network companies based on a performance-based model. You’ll get the opportunity to develop your learning in a technical, commercial and asset management capacity.

Just to give you a flavour, one of your key focus areas will be supporting us with our strategy for Strategic Valves, a multi-million pound programme which is underway for G1. (Strategic Valves are used to isolate parts of our gas network during emergency situations where quick and effective isolation is required or during a gas escape situation). You’ll get to make a real difference in our business by helping to coordinate a cohesive and ratified view for Strategic Valves on behalf of Cadent.
