Human Resources Summer Internship

Give yourself a great head start in your career by spending 10 weeks working on a real project and learning how HR can meet the future challenges of a leading energy and services supplier.

Who we're looking for

Proactive, can-do students who have a genuine desire to learn about our business and industry. You must be:

  • Looking to start your graduate career in 2020
  • Expecting a 2:1 degree (2:2 if combined with a Master’s) ideally in an HR discipline

What you'll be doing

At Centrica, we keep millions of homes and businesses running and work hard to support the changing needs of our customers. Join us, on our summer placement programme, and you’ll discover what it’s like meeting critical business goals as one of our strategic HR professionals.

Make no mistake, this is a challenging programme that will take a lot of hard work and initiative on your part. Some of the questions you could be helping to address include: Are we set up to meet the strategic challenges we face as a business? What can we do to maximise the potential of our people? How do we ensure we continue to be recognised as a 'Great Place to Work’?

In return you’ll get to develop career-boosting skills and could earn yourself a place on our graduate programme if you really stand out from the crowd.
