Sales Operations Placement

Egress are now looking for new Sales Operations Placement!

As Egress Software Technologies continues its path of exciting growth, we are offering an exceptional opportunity for an undergraduate to take part in a 12-month placement in our Sales Operations team, starting from Summer 2019, as part of your university degree.

This role will be based at Egress’ headquarters in and amongst many other technical organisations in Old Street, London, a stone’s throw away from both The City and trendy Shoreditch.

What would I be doing as a Sales Operations Placement?

Our Sales Operations team is the pivotal role between the Sales department and the wider business. The team continuously drives the sales system and improves processes, the quality of the data, and creates reports for Senior Management. You will be proactively monitoring data quality, which is used to make strategic and operational business decisions.

As part of this Sales Operations teams, your role will involve:

  • Becoming an expert in using our CRM system, becoming the ‘go-to’ person for system queries
  • Using our CRM system to meet changing business requirements
  • Understanding the current processes and reporting and identifying areas where it can be improved to increase efficiency
  • Maintaining our CRM database to make sure customer and prospect information is up to date
  • Supporting and developing our reporting for the whole business to drive process and leadership decisions and operational support
  • Assisting with processing of Sales Orders in the CRM system and supporting internal set up of new customers

Would I suit this role?

If you are someone who is analytical, self-motivated, is naturally curious and has strong communication skills, then this role would suit you! We don’t expect you to have previous experience in Sales Operations (although previous exposure would be beneficial). Someone who is process-minded and interested in pursuing a career in a role similar to this would be well-suited.

The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic second year student at university who is studying in a UK based university, predicted a 2:1 or above in a Business-related degree. The Sales Operations Placement would suit a person who has:

  • A strong understanding of Microsoft Excel or similar tools
  • The ability to work independently and as a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Problem solving skills and is solution focused
  • A “can do” attitude
  • The ability to work under pressure
