Global Business Ethics and Compliance Placement

Degree Requirements:

You must be on track for a 2.1 or above in any undergraduate degree discipline.

Your undergraduate industrial placement must be recognized or supported by your university.

You will have completed a minimum of 2 years of an undergraduate degree but will not have graduated at the start of your placement.

Detailed description and scope of the role:

Global Business Ethics and Compliance is an exciting place to work ensuring that we protect GSK!

We build confidence, internally and externally, ensuring that risks are managed effectively and holistically. Our global footprint and expertise is GSK’s radar, giving early visibility of potential issues, alerts to necessary actions and highlighting examples of best practice.

We employ a values-based dialogue to lead by example. We help teams to focus on making the right decisions and prevent things from going wrong. If things do go wrong, we are GSKs trusted partner to ensure an appropriate response, remediation and action plan to prevent future occurrences.

You will be joining an exciting global function who has responsibility for Global Ethics and Compliance across all business units at GSK. You will be responsible for supporting a range of teams, including: Enterprise Risk Team, Investigations, Corporate Security and specific Business Units, e.g. Consumer Healthcare, Pharmaceuticals, Vaccines and ViiV. You’ll work with expert colleagues across global functions to ensure we build confidence both internally and externally and to ensure that risks are managed effectively and holistically. We help teams make ethical business decisions through the application of our Values and Expectations.

Some key projects our Business Ethics and Compliance placement students will either support, manage or own are:

  • Working with the Enterprise Risk Team to simplify processes
  • Support the Investigations Team during internal investigations
  • Support the successful deployment of global projects that change the ways of working
  • Developing training and communications for Global Business Ethics & Compliance initiatives
  • Support the engagement with Subject Matter Experts across GSK

You will also be responsible for owning and managing your own projects, based on your development and business needs, allowing you to make a real impact on the team whilst strengthening your own core personal skills.

Although we accept applications from any discipline, we are looking for excellent communicators with an ability to be agile thinkers, who work well in teams and have a strong interest in business conduct and ethical frameworks. Above all, you must be curious and have the drive, confidence and commitment to get the most out of your time with us.

Additional Details:

PLEASE NOTE: The assessment centre for successful applicants is expected to be around February 2019.
