Current IT Placement - “Working at Egmont has been a truly unique experience, which has left me feeling better prepared for the world I will enter on completion of my degree.

Despite being new to the IT field, my line manager has been very forthcoming in giving me responsibility over tasks and projects, which has enabled me to gain a huge amount of knowledge and experience, and he’s shown a keen interest in helping me improve and hone my skills to produce a better IT Professional. The various challenges I’ve faced and work I’ve done has given me invaluable skills in IT administration, particularly with Microsoft products, with which I now have a familiarity and improved understanding.

As well as working within the IT department, the friendly and including nature of Egmont as a whole has enabled me to form lasting working relationships with a large numbers of employees, and grow my personal network substantially, which has translated into an enjoyable working environment, where I’ve felt valuable and as though my skills have made a difference.

Overall, I’d thoroughly recommend doing a placement with Egmont, the employees are friendly, the work is challenging but rewarding, and it really has given me a large number of skills which will be important for my future employment in IT.”

The ideal candidate will be working towards a Computer/Network related degree. In addition to being a self-starter, you will have great communication and problem solving skills. You will also have the ability to operate in a fast paced environment, prioritise effectively and have a keen interest in future technology.
