Marketing, External Relations Placement

We are looking for a talented, creative and enthusiastic marketing intern to join our in-house marketing team. We want your creative ideas to assist in developing, expanding, and maintaining our marketing channels. You will develop and oversee marketing campaigns to promote products and services for the Savings, Mortgages and Commercial Lending products lines.

This full-time, 12 month internship will help you acquire essential marketing skills and provide you with knowledge and experience of both traditional and digital communication strategies.

Purpose of the role

Assist the marketing team on the day-to-day delivery of marketing activity across channels which drive customer acquisition and retention. Assist in delivering against set marketing plan activities, implementing creative and innovative ideas to engage with existing, new and potential customers.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Assist the marketing teams with daily administrative tasks (eg attend meetings, minute taking, proof reading)
  • Assist on marketing and advertising promotional activities (eg direct mail, email marketing and web)
  • Assist in preparing creative briefs
  • Prepare copy for marketing collateral, web, social media and mobile applications, adhering to best practices
  • Assist in bringing together all aspects of marketing communications, ensuring that all messaging and communications strategies are consistent across all channels and are centered on the customer
  • Assist in ensuring all deadlines are met
  • Build strong inter-team relationships through regular briefing discussion, work planning and pro-active contact
  • Provide regular updates to marketing contact on progress of all marketing activities
  • Assist in the measurement of results of all marketing activity and assist with the production of regular MI

Qualifications and experience

Ideal candidate will hold a marketing qualification, or in the process of obtaining such qualifications

Working hours

37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm (one hour for lunch)
