Project Coordinator Diversity and Inclusion Placement

During the year there is the opportunity to understand all aspects of the business as we work closely with Sales, Recruitment, Academy, HR and Marketing. The role is predominantly focused on supporting our people so the ideal person should be a good communicator and passionate about the development and progression of our diverse workforce. You will be involved in research, data collation and analysis, communicating with our consultants and ex-forces personnel as well as learning about how we engage with external stakeholders like our clients and investors. Due to the varied nature of the role we would like a task orientated and motivated individual who is able to work under pressure and contribute to an exciting and dynamic team at FDM.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collate data for the D&I team around our diversity and inclusivity initiatives
  • Analyse our Equal Opportunities data from across the UK
  • Facilitate the Relationship Manager process in collaboration with the technical team
  • Carry out research into industry campaigns, conferences and events relating to diversity and inclusivity and social mobility
  • Support and coordinate our programmes of work for our designated charity for 2018, Anthony Nolan
  • Assist with the utilisation of FDM networks and establish, build and grow relationships with internal FDM staff through effective communication, consistency and the provision of a highly professional service
  • Gain a thorough understanding of the FDM business model
  • Complete any other work as required by the management team
  • Provide support to the rest of the D&I team on all initiatives including CPS, Alumni, Career Community Events, Government, conversations with Clients and digital visibility of our work around CSR

Essential Criteria

  • Degree discipline – probably from a Social Science or Humanities background but equally important is a passion for Corporate Social Responsibility. Individual should be on track for a 2:1 degree classification.
  • Communication - demonstrate skills in effective verbal and written professional communication; professional and outgoing approach; appropriate level of report writing and professional email communication; confidence when delivering presentations.
  • Valuing Others - work individually and collaboratively within the team and wider organisation; show respect and courtesy towards colleagues irrespective of grade or hierarchy; support other team members; establish, build and maintain relationships across all levels of the organisation; value cultural and ethnic diversity; be aware of the impact of your decisions on colleagues.
  • Results Oriented - prioritise and manage tasks/time in order to meet deadlines; pay attention to detail, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines; self-motivated, take ownership and show initiative.
  • Research - apply logical and critical thinking in order to examine and analyse the data presented, analyse data and apply a level of understanding in order to inform content for business reports; navigate systems and extract data using software tools such as spreadsheets and databases; interpret and present data in the form of tables, graphs and charts; deliver a high standard of accuracy.
