Human Resources Placement

We are looking for a talented individual to undertake a 12-month paid work placement, as part of our Business Placement Programme. You will work in our HR department, starting in July 2018.

You will have the opportunity to build a deep knowledge of business imperatives and operational issues, as well as the opportunity to fully participate in the business. The HR function is a site based team who work closely with all areas of the business to deliver our strategic people priorities with solutions that are linked directly to aerospace leadership using best-in-class HR practices.

The challenges start on day one, as you share responsibility for major business decisions. We are proud of our long standing tradition of developing talent, and investing great energy in developing top class professionals who can operate effectively across our diverse workforce.

Upon joining our team your typical responsibilities might include:

  • Employee Relations – enabling you to work closely with employees, management and unions in one of our facilities and help build a skilled and motivated team that delivers excellence
  • Operational HR – operating as a business partner to line managers to facilitate the implementation of our people cycle plan and providing relevant support for workforce planning and development
  • Early Careers/L&D - you will help drive organisational effectiveness through training initiatives and talent development strategies
  • Data Analytics - Ownership of sickness absence data tracking where you will provide the HR Business Partners with key metrics to assist in managing site absenteeism.

Qualifications

Undergraduate studying Human Resources or Business Administration (with some aspect of HR) who has a genuine interest in a Human Resources function.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; specifically the use of Microsoft Excel to filter, clean, identify, analyse and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
