Commercial Finance Placement
As a Commercial Finance Intern at pladis UK&I, you can expect to support the Commercial Decision Support Finance Team (CDS) with some of pladis’s largest accounts, providing insightful and actionable financial analysis for significant sales and investment decisions. The role will also involve helping the CDS team to develop and maintain commercial controls within the Sales teams and assist in the delivery of robust commercial and financial forecasts. We will provide you with the relevant training and support to carry out this role to your full potential!
Overview of accountabilities and deliverables:
- Producing weekly reports using SAP BW - actual data and forecast
- Ensuring the integrity of accruals for trade promotions
- Maintaining adequate controls over Customer Terms agreements, accruals and payments.
- Producing Monthly Management Accounts and Commentaries, highlighting variances
- Involvement in the Monthly Forecasting (SFDR) process
- Provide commercial input to support annual trade terms negotiations
- Support Year End and Half Yearly audit process
- Acting as a Finance business partner to Sales teams
- Provide "Finance for Non-Finance" training to business partners
- Ad hoc business analysis & project work
What we are looking for?
You’ve set your sights high, and so have we! You must have:
- The Right to live and Work in the UK.
- A strong academic background, with a minimum of a 2:1 at degree level (achieved or expected) in a relevant degree.
- Studying a degree with strong focus on analytical and numerical skills, be that Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics or Physics.
- Familiar with using Microsoft office, specifically Microsoft Excel.
- Numerically literate
- Good communication and time management skills
- Able to work to deadlines
