About Borro
Borro is a fast-growing lending business that offers affluent individuals access to loans against luxury assets. Its innovative technology enables Borro to approve loans faster than traditional lenders. Our mission is to offer smart credit solutions that unlock the value of assets.
We provide finance for a broad range of assets including property, fine art, antiques, jewellery, watches, fine wine and classic cars. Loans are available from £5000 up to £10m across the UK and US. Clients typically use loans from Borro to fund their own business or time sensitive investment opportunities.
Industrial Placements
We are looking for 4 enthusiastic, positive and pro-active students to join us for a year - long placement 2018 - 2019. This is a great opportunity to gain experience in working within a successful and innovative business.
Over the 12-month placement, students will be working at our Central London offices within their designated department. Each department will involve a different set of responsibilities.
Logistics/Inventory/Retail
- Liaising with third party providers
- Asset Photography, moving and management
- Quarterly stock audits
Business Analytics/Intelligence
- Data analysis & report production using database query tools and Excel, working with both financial & marketing-related data
- Assist with the administration of company systems e.g. Salesforce
- Provide basic IT Support services
Customer Accounts
- Working with Borro existing clients to collect loan repayments and renew client accounts
- Administrative duties
- Face to face appointments with existing clients
Sales/ Business Development
- Account management
- Face to face appointments with affluent clients
- Administrative duties
We are looking for students that are committed to gain professional experience within these departments to help them refine their future career aspirations. Ideally, we are looking for students that have achieved a 2:1 in their first year.
An assessment centre will be held in April 2018. The day will consist of a seminar with our CEO, Sales Director and previous interns that are now in Graduate roles at Borro. There will also be a networking lunch giving you the opportunity to speak to several members of Borro staff. Interviews will also be held after the assessment centre, all dates tbc.
