Finance Assistant Placement
We are offering an exciting placement for students interesting in getting exposure to key areas within finance for a Global organisation!
This one-year Finance Assistant role is ideal if you are wishing to subsequently develop a career within a Finance or Business discipline as it encompasses a wide variety of different responsibilities across the EMEA Finance functions.
As a Finance Assistant, you will report into the EMEA Finance Consolidation Manager (who oversees general prioritisation) within the EMEA Financial Reporting function, and will also have opportunity to gain exposure across the wider Finance function, including;
- Financial Reporting
- Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
- Commercial Finance
- Tax
- Treasury
- UK Finance
You will rotate between a selection of these sub-functions as determined by the priorities and peak demand of the functions, and your personal interest.
Typical responsibilities may include:
Financial Reporting
- Summarise quarterly reporting packages from country HQs for submission to Group
- Monthly roll forwards for Group cash flow
- Preparation of transfer pricing support files
- Assist with preparation of UK statutory accounts
FP&A
- Production of management accounts
- Consolidation of mid-monthly EMEA forecast
- Preparation and posting of country statistical journals
- Ad hoc analysis as required

You should ideally be working towards a Finance and/or Business related degree. You must also possess basic IT ability, including strong organisation, analytical and problem solving skills. Additionally, you will be a fast learner, highly motivated and a hard-working individual.
