Process Engineering Placement

This exciting opportunity based in the Process Engineering department at ASM Assembly Systems, is available on a 13 month work placement for undergraduate students seeking sandwich placements as part of their studies. The anticipated start date for this placement would be July 2018.

The main purpose of this role is to develop, and deliver economical and industrial processes for internal and external customers.

Your duties and responsibilities:

  • Conduct process development experiments at ASM and/or on customer sites, using relevant industry recognised techniques (e.g. DOE).
  • Deliver and present detailed process reports ensuring ASM developments are verified with supporting data, that has relevance to the market and customers served.
  • Able to think creatively, ‘outside of the box’ in order to provide optimum solutions to the client.
  • Able to achieve goals/ objectives as an individual and also in a team environment.
  • Able to build stable and useful working relationships and able to explain difficult concepts to a variety of audiences and ensure meaning is understood.
  • Fully PC literate with Microsoft office products.

Your profile:

  • Completed first or second year of degree course in statistics / applied materials / physics.
  • Understand DOE (Design Of Experiments) concept.
  • Willing to travel to global locations for onsite process support.
