From the main office in Germering, Munich, ERS develops and manufactures high-precision thermal wafer chucks, as well as complementary measuring instruments and systems designed for the production and quality control of semiconductor chips. Marketing Assistant Placement

We are offering an exciting 12 month placement for a Business/Marketing student in our growing company starting June or July 2018. Based in Munich, Germany, the successful candidate will speak fluent English (basic German is an advantage, but not a necessity) and the curiosity to want to join a technical company. You will be further developing the marketing and media presence in this B2B company, no tech knowledge necessary but you must be open to working in a tech environment where you will learn on the job.

What you will do:

• Help organise exhibition appearances from the ground up: book venues, coordinate designers and booth builders, contact journalists and business partners, imagine and buy creative give-aways, prepare managing directors for the fair.
• Write press releases for upcoming product launches, exhibition appearances, and other company news.
• Head the content marketing for the ERS social networking presence on Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn.
• Prepare mailers in HTML, make brochures by formatting content and graphics; manage the development of our new website.
• Producing reports on the Assemble Semiconductor Test equipment by compiling, consolidating, formatting, and summarising information, graphs, and presentations available online and through industry reports.
• Support sales presentations by assembling proposals, PowerPoint slides concerning company presentation, product features and benefits; compile account and competitor analyses.
• Assist in market winning pricing by verifying cost-of-build, margins, freight rates, and charges for consultation with the sales and PM team.
• Help accomplish the ERS marketing and business organisation mission by completing related tasks as needed.

We are a small company (approx. 35 employees) with an informal, friendly working environment. We do employee social events, and we have bi-weekly Friday meetings with lunch and snacks, where you get updates from the different departments in the company, and can get to know your co-workers better.

You will be working mostly with the Sales and Marketing team, but might also be asked to assist other departments, or do independent assignments.
