Siemens Rail Electrification is a specialist in Rail Electrification projects working with Network Rail/London Underground throughout the UK. Rail Electrification provides a combination of Engineering Skill and Project Management experience to deliver complex solutions which are installed throughout the UK.

We are recruiting for interns to join the Rail Electrification division at our location in London Euston.

The challenge:

  • Assist in delivering project engineering work-packages
  • Develop knowledge and skills in the preparation of railway electrification engineering plans, design specifications and system design to ensure these are delivered to time, quality, and cost parameters.
  • Build a working knowledge of our products, systems and strategies for implementation.
  • Participate in the Continuous Improvement in engineering by identifying efficiencies while promoting engineering excellence, through the adoption of new processes tools and methods of working.
  • Complete work placements in specified technical and non-technical business functions.

The candidate:

  • Studying a degree in an engineering discipline
  • A willingness to learn and ability to innovate
  • Safety culture aware – to be able to influence and develop an existing safety culture to latest generation thinking and practice
  • Strong and effective communicator across peer group within the company and customers
  • Must be willing to fill gaps in own knowledge and experience through taking a pro-active approach to learning, and seeking information from within and outside the company
