Configuration Engineer Industrial Placement

We are looking to offer two undergraduates the opportunity to join us for a 12 month placement in our Configuration Engineering team who support our Aftermarket Repair and Overhaul facility in Marston Green, Birmingham.

Since the introduction of ITC regulations into Marston Green, workload has increased for data management and distribution. As a consequence turnaround time for delivery of documentation into the business and distribution of documents outside of the business has increased which delays change management and may cause downtime in operations. A number of significant improvement projects have been identified to enhance and rationalise current processes and to incorporate ITC policy.

Areas that the IP will be involved in would be items such as:-

• Performing data gathering and analysis tasks to support product reliability.
• Develop data management tools using excel and utilising macros.
• Creating standard work to improve efficiency.
• Support with technical document requests and document distribution.
• Assist with managing the introduction of document change into the business.
• Support with document classification in accordance with ITC regulations and support with the introduction of a database to support classification.

The position has a salary of £17,494 along with 25 days paid annual holiday.

IMPORTANT: Candidates must be able to commit to the full 12 month placement (apart from the above holidays).
