Sales & Marketing Placement

How do you shape the future through Sales & Marketing? We’re looking for the makers of tomorrow. The bright and level-headed undergraduates, with a highly motivated ‘can do’ attitude to help to make a difference in the world.

We are recruiting a Placement Student to support the Sales and Marketing function within our aero-derivative turbine business based at Siemens in Warwick. The vacancy is in the Long Term Program (LTPs) proposals team; the team is responsible for selling maintenance contracts for gas turbine power stations. Over the past few years, our aero-derivative turbine business has successfully grown to be a £1 billion per annum global business by focusing on the supply and support of aero-derivative gas turbine packages and equipment to the global oil & gas and power generation markets.

The Challenge

Working within the Aero Gas Turbine (AGT) Sales Team, you will assist the department with delivering the Sales Order intake-

  • You’ll assist the team which is responsible for the global selling of the product, both technically and commercially via the Siemens Regional Entities and direct to the Siemens end user customers
  • Work within a team environment and support in the development of our tools and processes needed to sell efficiently and effectively
  • Drive forward improvement activity, whilst collaborating with other departments and internal stakeholders
  • Challenge the existing way of working with a view to improving customer satisfaction

The Candidate

  • Undergraduate on track to graduate with a 2.2 or above
  • Are flexible, know how to connect with others and pride yourself on bringing positive ideas to the team
  • Enjoy, jumping in and, with the support from us, feel comfortable taking responsibility for tasks and projects you’ve been assigned
  • Know how to manage your own time and adapt to change
  • Want to succeed, aspire to excellence and think outside the box
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products would be an advantage
  • Great writing, excel and powerpoint skills

Location

Whilst the role is based in Warwick, our graduate roles could take you anywhere in the UK, so you’ll need to go where this journey takes you. In return, you’ll get the chance to work with inspirational teams impacting entire cities, countries – and the shape of things to come.
