Marketing Placement

The role of a marketing intern with Tetley offers graduates or industrial placement students a 12 month opportunity to work alongside, and learn from, some of the best people in the tea industry. With ample responsibility and opportunity to showcase and develop your skills, the internship will begin with a full induction to our business to prepare you for this role.

During your placement you will work with the passionate and dynamic UK marketing team in a fast paced environment. The role will give you responsibility and accountability while developing your commercial acumen and key business competencies. After all, you will be taking on real projects that can impact our success. Most notably, you will be associated with one of the nation’s most loved brands – Tetley, and the iconic Tea Folk with the opportunity to be part of this heritage brand.

What is involved in the role

Become an integral member of the UK marketing team by being involved in activities, such as:

  • Supporting the Senior Brand Managers (SBM) with key activation projects including NPD launches and marketing communications projects – working across B2B and B2C.
  • Running all internal marketing communication efforts (organising events, conference planning / creation of newsletters)
  • Developing creative assets internally (using Photoshop) and externally (working with an agency)
  • Assisting in adhoc projects to support the wider team

Also, lead and manage your own projects, such as:

  • Tetley website maintenance
  • Management of Twitter and Food Services Blog for B2B
  • Lead ECRM newsletter content and distribution
  • Management of Tetley external brand events (working to a budget) e.g. sampling activities, press launches, trade shows etc.
  • Management of weekly and monthly marketing agency meetings - organising the agenda, timings and location with our creative, media and PR partners
  • Compilation and distribution of weekly/monthly competitor marketing activity report
  • Manage content for weekly marketing team meetings
  • Manage and provide business recommendations for external sponsorship approaches and marketing support

Previous marketing work experience would be a bonus and a good understanding of marketing principles is required. Interested persons should be studying towards or have just completed a relevant degree.

Must have good numeric and analytical skills and be fluent in oral and written English.

Benefits & training package

A full-time paid internship for a period of 12 months, beginning July 2018, with 25 days holiday.
