Quality Assurance Placement

We are seeking an intern to join our Quality Assurance Department, based in Folkestone, Kent on a 12 month contract starting in Summer 2018.

As a Quality Assurance intern, you will gain exposure and experience in a wide range of Quality Assurance activities including Complaint Management, Investigations, Root Cause Analysis, Validation and Auditing. You will support both our in-house production of Cosmetic and Medical Device products and our external network of Contract Manufacturers and Service Providers.

Duties will include some of the following:

  • Supporting the complaint management process. Monitoring trends, following up with consumers and distributors, performing and documenting investigations.
  • Supporting production investigations and non-conformances
  • Checking batch records of manufactured batches
  • Supporting validation activities for production and laboratory operations
  • Supporting inspection readiness by regulatory authorities against ISO 13485 and ISO 22716 standards. Review of procedures, training, self inspections.
  • Supporting audits of contract manufacturers and suppliers and working with them to resolve any non-conformances.
  • Exposure to project meetings and discussions with various other departments in the business.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Be an undergraduate/postgraduate in a Scientific subject.
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate a “can do” attitude and desire to continuously improve.
  • Have the ability to work as part of a team.
  • Have an enquiring mind.
  • Be competent in MS Office, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
