Electrical/C&I Engineering Summer Internship
This is an exciting opportunity for electrical or control & instrumentation engineering students looking for a Year in Industry placement with a FTSE100 energy business.
What the programme involves
At Centrica, we secure and supply the energy that keeps millions of homes and businesses running. Join us on our Year in Industry programme and you will gain a unique insight into life as a professional engineer with a leading energy and services company.
The programme offers you experience of gaining experience in electricity generation or electricity storage. You will be expected to complete a technical project that will benefit the business or function you will be working for, and provide you with the basis for your academic dissertation. So, there will be lots to get your teeth into and it and will take a lot of hard work and initiative on your part. But in return you’ll get to develop career-boosting skills and could earn yourself a place on our three-year engineering graduate programme if you really stand out from the crowd.
What you will need
We look for proactive, can-do students who have a genuine desire to learn about our business and industry. You must be expecting a 1st or 2:1 degree in a suitable electrical or control & instrumentation engineering discipline accredited by the relevant professional institute and be undertaking a year placement as part of your degree course.
