We have established ourselves as the global leader in DNA sequencing and array-based technologies through our focus on innovation, serving customers in the research, clinical and applied markets. We currently facilitate a myriad of processes in the life sciences, oncology, reproductive health, agriculture and other emerging segments.

Systems Integration is a multidisciplinary group that brings together the subsystems (hardware, software & biochemistry) which comprise DNA sequencing systems and tests them from a customer viewpoint to drive the creation of robust, reliable, easy to use products. The project is an excellent opportunity to work alongside our engineers and scientists, assisting with the development of future sequencing instrumentation and associated biochemistry. This will include hands-on testing and integration of new equipment and reagents, design and executing experiments, data analysis, interpretation and presentation of results, sample and reagent preparation.

Preferred background & Qualifications

The candidate will ideally have a BSc (Chemistry/Biochemistry preferred) but may also be on an undergraduate program with an industry placement. Basic wet laboratory experience is required but full training will be given. A high level of accuracy and attention to detail is important alongside excellent written and oral communication skills and the desire to be a part of a fast paced, multidisciplinary and dynamic environment.

The Selection Process

Once your application has been submitted, our dedicated recruitment team will perform an initial review, and then contact shortlisted individuals via telephone, before inviting you to complete a digital, video interview. The culmination of our selection process is for the finalists to attend an all-day assessment centre event at our offices.
Please note reasonable travel and accommodation expenses will be reimbursed to applicants invited to an assessment day.

Assessment days scheduled for 6th & 7th March 2018.
