Business & Engineering Internships

We have a number of different exciting engineering and business opportunities in our Lincoln office, you will be asked to specify in your application which roles you would like to be considered for, below is a short summary of each:

• IGT Service Strategy Intern - The role is to support the IGT Strategy Partner and other Support Function disciplines with Fleet and Market Analysis. Additionally some Project work should be expected either a part of an ongoing project or as a stand-alone investigation. 

• Proposals Intern - SGT Proposals Department are seeking, ideally a graduate trainee, to assist with investigations into available digital methods for presenting gas turbine technical information.  The information will be in various formats and will be presented to global internal and external customers. Guidance and support will be available from gas turbine experts however; the candidate will still require a reasonable level of technical understanding.  Excellent communication skills will be expected to investigate existing Siemens global tools & processes and external tools, presenting the findings to an audience of all levels.  The candidate should have a high interest in software and available Apps in order to perform the evaluation and demonstrate potential solutions.

• Field Service Excellence Support Intern – In your role as intern in the Field Service Department you will experience what it takes to constantly provide excellent Customer Service in a truly global and integrated business. Our Field Engineers and Technicians, of which many are based in Lincoln, provide on-site support for Gas Turbine Installation and Commissioning, Maintenance and Repair as well as Modification and Upgrades. During your internship you will work closely with the Field Service Management group to both support in day-to-day operation as well as project work. Project-, Process-, Change Management as well as Internal Communication are the main disciplines you will develop.  As part of the team, you will be given the chance to grow and make a difference.

• Proposals Intern = studying towards an engineering, marketing or IT degree
• Field Service Intern = studying towards an engineering, management or IT degree
• IGT Service Strategy Intern = studying towards an analytical disciplined degree
