Back Office Industrial Placement

We only deal with the best

Are you ready to gain an insight into working at a leading European energy trading house? Our year-long Industrial Placements will give you the foundation to flourish in your early career.

By joining us as an intern in the back office area in Swindon, you will support a crucial operation within our trading business. This role plays an essential part in delivering controlled operations, analytical problem solving and ultimately supporting the delivery of the company trading activities.

You will have the opportunity to interact with all functions within the company and have exposure to administration, support, analysis, and implementation of the full trade lifecycle. You will have the opportunity to work with global teams and where required travel between our company locations.

In this placement, you will quickly come to realise that back office is an integral part of our business, without which, our core trading activity would not take place.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for bright and talented applicants with a proven passion for the energy industry. We want someone who is keen to develop, with a highly motivated and proactive attitude. You must have excellent communication skills and be able to work alongside industry experts. We would like to help someone learn and grow, and perhaps progress to the Graduate Programmes.

What do we offer?

We offer a competitive salary package, as well as benefits including:

  • company pension
  • private healthcare
  • financial assistance when moving from your base location
  • flexible benefits, including discounts at shops
  • on-site gym
  • free drinks and fruit
  • free eye care
  • paid subscription to membership of relevant associations, e.g - Young Energy Professionals

There’s a strong emphasis on support and development throughout your placement because we want to ensure that you develop into a well-rounded business professional. You will be invited to in-house courses and provided with plenty of on-the-job training.

Where will your career go next?

The only way is up! We believe in supporting and nurturing talent, so there’s every chance your career could progress with us after your placement has finished. Perhaps you’ll take a place on one of our Graduate Programmes as your next step. And it’s an exciting time to be here as we expand into new markets and grow globally. The skills you gain during your year here will be fully transferrable to any work environment.
