About The Body Shop

Inspirational people are at the core of our success. We are a family of bold, unique and passionate employees who make The Body Shop a dynamic and exciting place to work – believe us when we say there is never a dull day here.

When you come into work on a Monday you can guarantee that your week will be filled with celebrations of TBS’s successes, freebies, office parties, team lunches, invites to talks of TBS’s latest global adventures… plus any excuse for free cake. This is just the start, wait until you find out what you’ll get up to in your exciting new role…

Marketing Placement

Marketing at The Body Shop is at the heart of the brand. This role will oversee every stage of new product development (NPD); turning concepts and ideas into a tangible product. We are looking for undergraduates who are aware of current trends within the beauty industry and who are confident with numbers. They will be a creative, analytical, adaptive student

Your Role

As part of the Marketing team in The Body Shop’s global HQ, the level of responsibility and involvement you have will make you rethink what it means to be an Intern. You will get to experience the whole process of developing a new product and your opinion will influence the entire process; from the initial idea to talking to suppliers, designing and approving the product aesthetics, deciding when it will be launched and choosing the overall message behind the product.

Your role will be on a global scale – you will react to global consumer trends and give original ideas to develop a product that sells. You will monitor and report global monthly sales performance as well as working closely with the International Consumer Insights team to understand consumer behaviour and develop sales strategies. You will be creating briefs that Marketing departments all over the world will follow, which will turn a ‘light bulb moment’, into a product being sold in our 3000 stores in 65 countries – how’s that for an internship?

Want to join TBS global family?

In return for your contribution to the success of TBS, you will get the responsibility, training and respect of a full-time employee (you will be doing a hell of a lot more than making tea). You will also get a salary of £18,000, 23 days holiday plus bank holidays, 50% off TBS products, discounted cinema tickets, 3 paid days to spend volunteering, free gym vouchers and £100 to spend on learning new skills or fitness and wellbeing.
